Fin de Fiesta Flamenco

“Passionate. Intense. Emotional.” - The Georgia Straight

Fin de Fiesta Flamenco is a storied music and dance ensemble that embodies what it is to be alive. Founded in 2013 in Seville, Spain by Canadian flamenco artists Lia Grainger (dance) and guitarist Dennis Duffin (guitar), Fin de Fiesta Flamenco has been bringing authentic live flamenco music and dance to audiences across North American and Europe for more than a decade.

Fin de Fiesta has a long and storied touring performance history, and has performed at festivals and theatres across Canada and Europe, from the banks of the Seine in Paris, to the shores of Georgian Bay, to the theatres and playhouses of Seville, Bordeaux, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and more. Their story and performances have been celebrated in the pages of the Toronto Star, The National Post, the Vancouver Sun, The Province, The Georgia Straight and other major publications.

Grainger and Duffin are joined onstage by spectacular Montreal-based Spanish singer Alvaro Echanove. Individually, the members of Fin de Fiesta Flamenco are each recognized as masters of the medium, and are all award-winning artists who have toured the world. Together, they bring the raw, immediate and often improvisational style of flamenco known as “tablao” to audiences across Canada.

Sharing an

artform.

Fin de Fiesta Flamenco’s members work, train and create in Seville, Spain, the birthplace of flamenco, and then transport that beating heart of the art form to the Canadian public through performances, workshops, classes, talks and other outreach activities. Fin de Fiesta Flamenco’s mandate is to make this truly inclusive and multicultural art form accessible to Canadians, and to give Canadians the tools to become active participants in the flamenco arts.
